Dickinson's Real Deal is today from Llandudno, we may be on it! we were filmed in April and they said 4 programmes would come from it. We sold a Lyon's tea sign and a stained glass fire screen, we could have ended up on the cutting room floor, who knows?   It's on at 3pm on ITV

Not being a technocrat, I'll just sit down and watch it if I happen to be home.

Actually I cannot stand David Dickinson, much too smarmy a character as far as I am concerned - and as for that (fake) tan of his, that's something else!     ???

Where's his feathers and tomahawk then?
Don't look or sound Indian to me.

Bio
David Dickinson was born in Cheadle Heath, Stockport, Cheshire, to Eugenie Gulessarian. Eugenie was a member of an Armenian textile trading family, whose father Hrant Gulesserian, had moved from Constantinople to Manchester, England in 1904. Dickinson had corresponded with his biological mother in her later life in Jersey, but they never met. Dickinson's biological father is unknown. His maternal grandmother's surname was Jackson, his mum was born in Chorlton-cum-Hardy. It has recently been found, through genealogy research, that his mum married, in 1943, in Wallasey to a man named Herbert H Moss, who may have been David's father.

I watched a documentary on him years ago in which it said his father was an Indian and David was brought up by his grandmother?
Are you going tonight Yorkie I'm dying to meet you?

He was brought up by his Grandmother as his Father was not known and it seems that he was adopted by the Dickinsons.   But no mention of any Indian ancestry although he puts his "tan" down to his forefathers!

Sorry you will have to wait a little longer to meet Yorkie!   I opted for the 8 December as did most people but due to someones birthday it was changed to tonight and I can't make it.

I would like to meet everyone also.  I have met a couple for the Forum and also know some of the contributors from the past so am not entirely in the dark.

Hope you all have a great time.     ZXZ

Just a random question which just came into my mind for no reason. Does anyone know or remember the particular reason why white lines started to be painted in the middle of the road?  Also where in the 3towns area was the first one painted?
