I remember my Dad saying "what do you mean your staying as Parry, where do you think you are Hollywood" lol.
I had no intention of changing my name. My Dad has no sons and no one would know me if I used Gez name. Even my passport which I applied for after I was married  is in my maiden name.  8)

Have I missed a couple of months?  And is it really the First Day of April?
The answer to both must be, "Yes!"   As it must be a joke when they are to spend £345,000 on putting a PA system in Pen y Clip Tunnel.  Is it to play soft music to all those motorists stuck in the usual Summer traffic hold ups?  From the report it seems as though it will be one of those white elephants that will be used once in a lifetime to warn motorists of emergencies ahead.   No doubt the volume will have to be set at well above normally acceptable levels to have any chance of being heard above the traffic.

The Financial Crisis must be of no concern to those who decide to carry out such works and yet another waste of taxpayers money.

If that concerns you, Yorkie, you need to have a look as to what has been going on inside our local swimming pool.

They are putting a black tint in the external glass to stop the sun getting in the eyes of the swimmers.

If that is not the reason for the expensive tinting then I apologise.

I have just returned home after a week away and am having a look on the Forum at what's been happening in that time. I find I am confronted by three pages of topics with unread posts. Just where do I begin?

Wonder what it would be like if I was away for a longer time?

I saw him in Colwyn Bay two weeks ago, he's had the flu. Don't think he's got to India yet but I'm sure he can tell us himself when he's next online.

It's probably been fitted so someone can inform motorists to stop blowing their bl**dy horns

No, Trojan, because Phase One was completed at a height of 20 feet.  :o

There’s no need for an apology because Phase Two has begun.

Initially, two small scaffolding towers were brought in but soon replaced by a work of art by RS Scaffolding stretching 100 feet and rising to 40 feet.

That must have blown a massive hole in the budget.  ))*

I imagine it will be completed this week in time for the Swimming Gala next weekend.

If anyone is interested, they can get to view the work-in-progress for free by simply walking up to the Spectators Gallery.
