Hehe I was surprised to find out that my house in Conwy was previously a brothel.  Not had any callers so far though  :-X Brothels have also been set up in Penmaenmawr for many years, some busted others not found.  I don't actually see anything wrong with them if I'm honest.
I wasn't going to mention your house, Miss P.

I suppose it all depends if the women in them are working completely of their own will or not. Obviously, any form of coercion though violence or drug addiction is not acceptable.  &shake&

Darren Millar V Oscar
« Reply #676 on: June 01, 2012, 09:47:20 am »

I have noticed over the time I have been reading Oscars blog he seems to have a vendetta going against Daren
Interested to know why I posted My thoughts on Mr Millar the reply from Oscar has gone no way to solve the mystery apparently Millar has had an extra marital affair, he bleats on about his church, and he thinks his wife is beautiful and he is in public office and getting paid well!!
I pointed out to Oscar that this is a profile that would fit most of the people in public life, I would disregard this when asking Darren for support with a problem in this vain he will be very accessible and will work tirelessly to resolve matters unlike Jones MP that does not respond is very aloof and judgmental.

Do you mean David Jones MP? A few years ago daughter had a problem about which she contacted several local politicians. The only one to respond in any way  was David Jones,  not just by email but with a long phone conversation in which he assured her he would help all he could by contacting the relevant people on her behalf. Her problem was resolved, and whilst I don't support the Conservatives in any way shape or form,  I hold him in the highest regard because of the way he helped her out.  He was in no way judgmental about the situation either.

I got round to doing and submitting my annual tax return online this afternoon. A certain question caught my eye in view of events this week.

Are you a member of a tax avoidance scheme?

I thought that I might seek the advice of one Jimmy Carr to see whether I should answer "Yes" or "No". Anyone got a phone number?

I don't know what's going on at HMRC but my P87 which is usually handled by the Bootle office has been passed on to some jobsworth in Bournemouth of all places who's giving me a right runaround for what is usually a very easy and relatively small claim.

Further to the recent example of pathetic service by the Nat West Bank....

I went on to my online account, and saw the following message..

''As a result of the technical issues over the last few days, some account balances may not be displaying correctly for customers. We would like to apologies to everyone impacted by this.''

Now, it seems that they can't manage software upgrades, and now they can't manage basic spelling either.

It is symptomatic of the poor standard of management which afflicts this country these days.  &shake& &shake&

I saw this on another forum, how true it is I have no idea, thankfully we are with a building society!

Interesting inside view on NatWest/RBS catastrophy
This is from the comments section of the Telegraph. As someone working in IT and in danger of being outsourced, it rings all sorts of bells. Please see below

..........................................................

RBS PR has specifically refered to a "UK-based piece of software" as the fault.

Why would the PR-drones at RBS be so specific, unless they were paranoid about media comments regarding the risks of cheap third world off-shoring ?

Perhaps a few questions you should ask RBS are:
Was it an Infosys employee on a Tier 2 visa at the mainframe site in Edinburgh who bungled the customer accounts batch job, or
Was it an Infosys employee working remotely from Chennai that bungled the batch job in Edinburgh ?

Does Mr Hester regret making the last British mainframe specialist at RBS redundant three weeks ago ?
and does he think the savings from sacking 1,800 British IT professionals and third world off shoring will pay off ?

Now we must all have heard of the new "must read" to sweep the nation called "Fifty shades of Grey" from what I can gather (as I haven't read it.......yet  ;D) it's a love story based solely round lust, to put it politely.  Anyway I had to laugh when I read the story below which appeared in the Herald Sun newspaper..............

A GIRLFRIEND'S indulgence in the erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey has been rudely doused by a jealous boyfriend's saucy revenge.

The Carlisle Magistrates Court has heard how a lovers' tiff over the book caused a man to squirt brown sauce all over the his girlfriend's face after she refused to stop reading the erotic novel.

The Mail Online reports Raymond Hodgson, 31, was charged after his anger at finding his partner of five years, Emma McCormick, had been reading the racy book escalated to the point where he decided to take revenge..

In court, Hodgson pleaded guilty to the single charge of common assault.

Prosecutor Adrienne Harris said: "Mr Hodgson thought that the book was pornographic, and that she should not read such literature.

"He went to her home at 7pm on June 26 and took with him a bottle of brown sauce. She answered the door and the argument continued.

"She went to close the door and he jammed his foot into the door, slapped her once in the face, and then squirted her with this bottle of sauce."

He said that he did what he did to Miss McCormick to show her what saucy really meant.

Miss Harris said: "He said he had every intention of squirting sauce over Miss McCormick, but he now regrets having done this, realising how stupid it sounds.

"He didn't realise that the sauce incident would be classed as an assault. He is sorry for his actions."

Attorney Malcolm Dodds said his client denied slapping Emma McCormick.

"Emma says it stung her eyes and it was all over the walls, which she had to clean up afterwards. I've spoken to Raymond and he's extremely sorry about it.

"He was angry that she suggested he slapped her because he hadn't. But they are now friends and they have been in touch with each other."

The District Court judge said Hodgson's actions had been intended to demean Miss McCormick. Hodgson was ordered to pay 100 pounds in compensation and 85 pounds in prosecution costs. A six week, 6pm to 8pm curfew was also imposed, along with a six-month community service order.

In my "younger" days the author to read was Hank Janson - very naughty stuff - or it seemed like it!   _))*
