It certainly is Ty Gwyn Road... just round the corner at the bottom, looking upward. On the left is the Care in the Community (or similar) facility building.
The Fire escape is clearly visible on the adjacent building.

That photo looks to be taken by one of the boy racers with the large exhaust pipes on their way up to the summit to go and burn the rubber of their tyres.

This site is now the entrance drive to Ardwy Orme.

Dave mentioned the location previously.

I would date this in the Edwardian period around 1910 due to the style if the hats.

The scene dates from c1910. I think it's real and the slightly odd effect comes from the colourisation process. This site is now the entrance drive to Ardwy Orme.

Ardwy Orme was built in 1895 but perhaps that stage was built in part of the garden nearest the cliff

It's actually from Google Streetview, I think, which, for some reason, doesn't display properly on the Forum when you try to post a link from it.

Keeping getting images of the Google Street View camera car burning rubber up the Orme. Might be time for a drink!

I was driving up the Orme today when I saw what I think was the site of the Scarlet Merrions. If I am correct it's just past Ardwy Orme and is now covered in trees, Faulke's cave is still visible from the road but that area is fenced off.  The small building on the road is still there as a guide to the location of the photo.

A bit more effort was put into looking after it back then. I walked though the other day - what a mess.  :(
