Johnny Dough's have had to remove the sign from the front of the business. No real surprise as he didn't get prior planning permission. Hopefully Conwy/Mostyn see sense and allow it.

You can live in hope, Tom, but the words 'sense' and Conwy rarely seem to appear in the same sentence.

The Llandudno one always seems quite quiet.

Another coffee shop has now opened in Upper Mostyn Street, where Motor Mania was.

I took my mum for lunch to the skip again today.
I have to say that I am repeating what I eat there as the menu is quite short and it doesn't change as often as I would like.
I spoke to the waitress about this last time I was there a couple of weeks ago and she said it was a common complaint from locals.
Bryn Williams was there today and at the end of my meal he came out of the kitchen and I took my chance to ask him if he wanted some feedback which was that local regular customers were desperate for more changes in the menu.
He told me that it had last changed in mid November and it was going to change again mid February.
He said he would only cook with seasonal produce and that in these months the choices were limited.
At no time during the conversation did I feel that he agreed or approved of anything I said. It was much more the case that he knew what was best for me and he was very defensive throughout.
Quite a surprising reaction I thought considering the uphill struggle they have had to get locals on their side.
He did say that a loyalty card was to be introduced shortly.
Bring on Dylan's, I think some healthy competition will help.

H. Maybe he is a better chef, than a people person, but not a good situation when one of his best clients feels let down, look on the bright side, it could have been Gordon Ramsey.......  ;)

I keep meaning to go back to the Skip, only been twice, first time excellent, second time so-so. Not sure Dylan's is the answer BUT you will get a varied menu (the menu in Menai Bridge is bloody massive)
