Wildwood opens Llandudno restaurant...but films are off the menu.

National chain Wildwood has opened its first restaurant in Wales.
The restaurant chain - which is popular across the south of England - has now opened in Llandudno, creating 30 new jobs.
They say the restaurant will bring something new to the seaside resort and add to the eating out scene.
The chain usually has small cinemas at its sites but has had to remove that from the plan in Llandudno because there was not enough space at the unit on Mostyn Street.

The cinema is the USP of the place, now it's just another place to eat. Still, will give it a go.

The pub on Upper Mostyn Street shut suddenly in August with no explanation for the closure.
But they have now announced on social media that the bar will re-open on Friday at  8pm.  ref DP

Terrible place, I went to the bar once on a Saturday night to let a member of staff know that their burglar alarm had been going off really loud for the last hour non stop......turned out that was the music.

I went to Asia last night... maybe all this curry talk got my tastebuds going. It was great! Best one I've had from there yet.

I can't quite remember what it was called, something with garlic and chilli, recommended by the proprieter (who also offered me a half-price second pint while I waited).

He said he wasn't worried about new competition.

I think you had the 'South Indian garlic chilli'
It really should be simply called the 'Bangladeshi garlic chilli',  but for some reason the proprietor chooses to put South Indian into the title instead.

We went to Asia on Saturday and had the 'South Indian Garlic Chilli'. it was fantastic! 

If you're ever on Anglesey, the Meghna Tandoori in Church St,  Beaumaris does a 'Garlic Chillic Chicken', which is a touch hotter and spicier than the Asia version. Highly recommended!

My favourite Indian restaurant locally is the Jai Ho, excellent food and usually dependable. The Shapla, (Takeaway)Mostyn Ave, Craig-y-Don is also reliably good.
