Went to the new Lilly bar Wednesday lunch time and had a really excellent burger. Quite an interesting selection of Czech beers but no Stella or real ales on draft.

The Lilly are going to have a better selection of bottled beers in a week or so, they told me.

The Bengal Dynasty Restaurant on North Parade was raided by Home Office Immigration Enforcement officers on Thursday and a 25-year-old Bangladeshi man, was found working in breach of his visa conditions. He was arrested and will be deported.

Really? I think it may be better off as a pure restaurant, rather than a pub as well.

I was there last Sunday. Went to the Tearoom rather than the Restaurant, as it was fully booked. Tearoom seemed very disorganised - why no table service when there is more than enough staff to facilitate it? Expecting all the customers to congregate in a small corner to queue for their food/drink like in a school canteen is ridiculous. Coffee was excellent, though.

The Amber Coffee Shop in Colwyn Bay is up for auction on 20th June.  I suspect the new Costa in town might have an effect on the bidding.

I think the GP is £145-165k and that's for the whole building. It's nicely fitted out and in a good location, so not expensive. No reason why it shouldn't do well with the correct management.

Ambrosia cafe in Rhos has closed down. It had been up for sale for a while.

Went to the Medeterain  last week haven't been for a while very disappointed with the food we had kebabs and a Greek salad (very little feta cheese and a lot of lettuce not very Greek) and a bowl of very pale frozen chips. What shame it could be really good to have a restaurant that did Greek / Med food. We have tried the tapas at the Gresham which was very good better than some Spanish restaurant I've been to.
