Harveys open yet,oh can;t be or DavR would have given us a coffee and burger update

It opened today and it seems me and Mrs R may have beaten DaveR to have a coffee in there before him.  D)

It is very nice inside.

The burgers look very attractive and it is well worth a visit.

Mrs R had a chat with the owner and he informed Mrs R his planning permission only came through earlier this week

Although the premises has always been selling food, as we all know (National Milk Bar, Wimpy and Burger King), it is easy to forget it was previously a pound shop for a while.

Whatever difference that makes it has obviously held him up and he missed the summer trade.

Harvey’s is a welcome addition to Mostyn Street and I hope everyone will do their best to support it over the coming weeks.

Do they sell vegetarian food in this Harveys?

I went past Harvey's at 6.30, it was quite busy... I am very pleased for them.

Born to Run.... in answer to your question about 'do they serve vegetarian food' ... well I expect the answer will be yes, but I hope they do not.
After all, I think that cows and sheep should have to take their chances just like cabbages and onions do!

Need a report on Harvey;s please ,anybody been yet.

Went in with the Mrs just before 3 this afternoon, for a coffee.  Greeted with "We're busy and only do food when we're busy".  Decided to leave but then told we could have just coffee if we wished.  Sat down and the Greeter asked was I local, where from?   As is my normal wont I said Holland.    He was from Stoke-on-Trent.     So we sat down, and waited - and waited - and waited some more.   Then being fed up we left.   I wonder if we would have been served, or even had an order taken, more quickly had I been a local (which, of course, we all know, I am)?

I will go again and give them another try!  ZXZ

A3 planning has been applied for, not A5.
There's no A5 category, just A1, A2, A3.

Class A1. Shops
Use for all or any of the following purposes—
 (a) for the retail sale of goods other than hot food,
 (b) as a post office,
 (c) for the sale of tickets or as a travel agency,
 (d) for the sale of sandwiches or other cold food for consumption off the premises,
 (e) for hairdressing,
 (f) for the direction of funerals,
 (g) for the display of goods for sale,
 (h) for the hiring out of domestic or personal goods or articles,
 (i) for the reception of goods to be washed, cleaned or repaired,
where the sale, display or service is to visiting members of the public.

Class A2. Financial and professional services
Use for the provision of —
 (a) financial services, or
 (b) professional services (other than health or medical services), or
 (c) any other services (including use as a betting office) which it is appropriate to provide in a shopping area,
where the services are provided principally to visiting members of the public.

Class A3. Food and drink
Use for the sale of food or drink for consumption on the premises or of hot food for consumption off the premises.
