Mine and Fester's team having a great start to the season - lying in second place and only having lost one game.

Fester will be embarrassed that I reveal that he is currently riding high at the TOP of the leagues individuals having played 6 and only lost one. D)

However we only have at the very most 8 players and could do with all the more - so if anyone fancies a throw feel free to come down the 147 anytime.  Z**

It would be more apt if it was called the One Hundred and Eighty!!    $donald$

Very good point actually!!

The place doesn't have one single snooker table - so the only way one could achieve a score such as 147 would be on the dartboard!!

Tonight I watched the gentleman below POWER his way to the £100,000 prize in winning the Grand Slam of World Darts on SKY.

He produced a near record-breaking performance to see off 2 of the best players on the planet in the same day!
He beat Adrian Lewis (The current World Champion) in a long semi final in the afternoon.

He then went into the final to beat Gary Anderson (the Premier League champion) ... a score of 15-4

Not bad for a 51 year old Grandad, who many had written off last year.

Tonight I got called up to play for the Llandudno Super League Darts team.
What this means in reality is that they were desperately short of players, this is always the case when they reach down as far as my level.  ( I know my place in the pecking order )

These matches usually involve a 60 mile round trip, to some Godforsaken town in North Wales, to some of the worst pubs and clubs imaginable,  just to get my backside kicked.  However, for some masochistic reason I enjoy it.
But tonight, I was so surprised at the elegant venue that I thought I'd post a day and nighttime picture of it.
Quite a setting for a darts match wouldn't you agree?
Most on here will know this fabulous building, but I've never been to it before.

I didn't win Hollins, I've never won a Suoer League match, only the odd leg or two.
I lost 4-2 last night, and the team lost 5-3.  I'm out of my depth at that level but it's nice to be called up I suppose.  There are some fantastic players in that league, it's a UK wide set up full of players who play for their county, country and often semi-professionally.
I'll let one of the Forum luminaries tell you where the building is, it's quite well known.

I knew that as it was also the venue for the GORJYS music festival I worked at in the summer.
Not sure what you lot were doing in there! What's wrong with the Wellman's in Llangefni? $walesflag$
