I am just having a look at his Summer 2014 newsletter "intouch" which was delivered today. He talks about the good news for our local economy and makes reference to 'the refurbishment of the Clarence and St Tudno Hotels in Llandudno'. He surely means the old Tudno Castle Hotel (and formerly the North Western Hotel) not the St Tudno.
More 'out of touch' than 'in touch', in my view. Still, being as he doesn't even live round here and has no connection with the area, it's hardly a surprise he's making errors like that.

Seems he is too busy worrying about Israel, god knows why! Before I vote next year I will check carefully for any of this 'friends of Israel' nonsense!  &shake&

Pathetic isn't it?     You wonder why I have no time for politicians of any kind.

What has the Clarence and The Tudno Castle to do with him?   Is he simply trying to associate himself with the success of the private businesses which are developing those sites?

He needs to concern himself with what is going wrong, not things outside his remit which are being put right.   &shake& &shake&

We don't need them, either; if everyone was made to do a stint as a local representative you could construct a system whereby only a small admin force would be needed to carry out the 'wishes of the electorate'. But I sense we're moving into a new era, one where politicians will succeed based solely on their performance in front of the cameras. Not entirely sure that's a good thing.

Guto's thoughts on the Israel/Gaza situation are summarised here (you'll need to use Google Translate if you don't read Welsh).
http://www.golwg360.com/newyddion/rhyngwladol/156542-bebb-israeliaid-yn-teimlo-dan-warchae

I honestly find it truly amazing that he takes far more interest in these matters than ones in his own constituency. There's also the matter of the £5,000 he has received from Alexander Temerko: http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmregmem/140428/bebb_guto.htm
Why would Guto take £5000 from a Russian who has probably never even heard of Aberconwy? The whole thing stinks.

Personally, I think he has made a major error and now has pretty much no chance of getting back in, come election time.

Let's hope he out at the next election, he's upset a lot of the people with his pro Israel stance. Hard to believe he's been so vocal.

Lucky for him the election is 9 months away and all this will probably have blown over by then. People tend to vote for the party rather than the candidate (despite what we would all prefer) and your average voter won't cast their vote on this one matter.

However, he seriously need to pull his socks up and leave off these nuts comments on Twitter. He's a nice man and actually very helpful, but has come across as a complete idiot in his dealings on Twitter. He seriously needs some heavy duty PR advice and he needs to pound the streets and get himself seen. These past 3 weeks have been an absolute car crash.

If he had a majority less than 5% he'd be toast, but he has 11%, which means his seat isn't technically even marginal (10% is usually the cut off).

You must remember, most voters don't read Twitter, nor do the 45,000 electors read Oscar like we do.

I for one, do not read Oscar.
G Bebb Esq.  needs a lesson in politeness.  I recently contacted him about Porth Eirias, and did not even receive an acknowledgement, let alone a reply.  We pay for his Constituancy office, so surely he could get a member of his staff to at least let people know he had received their communication?

He is probably trying to woo the Electorate by devoting his time to exploiting the Social Media sites, as a means of spreading the "word of Guto Bebb!"    Well I don't use Twitter either, so unless he decides to "expose" himself on the Three Towns Forum, there is little chance of getting my vote, and I suspect, many other Votes?

If you're reading this, Mr Bebb, pull your finger out and get typing!

Interesting that Guto has had his lawyers send a letter to Oscar regarding the accusations of the last few days. Although I don't think Guto has come across well in this at all, if they are untrue then I think it's fair enough to send a legal letter of rebuttal, otherwise insinuations and rumours never stop (though he should have done something softer earlier).

Oscar tweeted this: "I'm feeling Guto is the school bully, sitting there all self righteous and in judgement. Just who does he think he is lording of us plebs?"

It's pretty ironic really. I can't help thinking that Oscar has bullied so many people over the years, that he deserves a taste of his own medicine.

Are they untrue though? I seem to recall all of the accusations were thoroughly referenced from various news sources?

That's why I said 'if they are untrue'. I must say, having read the comments on Oscar, there seem to be quite a few crazies out there...it's all about Zionist conspiracies and all that jazz.

Now when seeing the word Zionist being used in such a context, do I smell a little bit of racialism?    WWW

Not racism.  A Zionist adheres to the tenets of Zionism
