Hello, I am a new member. I lived in Colwyn-Bay during WW2 as a refugee from Belgium. I attended College School and later Grammar Shool on Dingle and Eiris Park. I was also in the
2nd.Colwyn-Bay Boy Scouts Troop. Hopefully, somebody may remember me or was in the same school or Scouts although this is a long time ago.
Greetings!

Welcome Hans - nice to see you on the Forum.  I remember you from Colwyn Bay staying with my parents - hope to hear more from you - Margaret

Hello Hans Wins, You will remember me from some emails we exchanged around a couple of years ago, after I spotted your showcase in Colwyn Ba Library. You will remember we discussed teachers in the old Colwyn Bay County School, and the 3rd Rhos scouts.  Especially Larry Lines.      Mike Owen.  On this forum under the disguise of OrmeGolf.

Hi, I have lived in Llandudno Junction all my life (1954 vintage, Bangor St David's !) . Now working in the rail industry & covering an area including North Wales & Stafford to Carlisle. Not surprisingly I have an interest in travel , driving, DIY, aviation, gardening , walking , cycling & lots of other things. Learning more about our local area is always good & it is good to read input from others willing to share their histories & local information.

Hi All,

Found this forum while looking for a site for local historical interests. I've been registered for a few weeks but not got round to posting so a brief biog. is as follows.

I was born in Llandudno and have lived, schooled and worked all my life in the area (now Colwyn Bay) and I work in an admin. role within our local police force.

I've been browsing the site and like the of it and especially the old photos of the area.

Hello Kev Chin! Used to go to the Cottage going back a few years. You once gave me an impromtu violin lesson when Ball and Boyd did the auction for Gogs when they closed down and were selling off their stock! Still learning - playing by ear! Very slowly trying to learn Vittorio Monti's "Czardas" haha. Maybe should try to walk before I can run  ;)

Hi, my name is Andrew and I'm a slightly overweight bloke from Glan Conwy who works in darkest Bae Colwyn.  I don't do too much (I've got young kids so no freedom) but I do try to make my way up to the Red Lion Foods Stadium to watch Colwyn Bay FC as much as possible.

No it is not a Golf Forum although Golf is one of the Topics that has been, and still is discussed.  The Forum is generally about things to do with the three towns of Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Conwy although certain Topics mention many other places.   Have a look around and I'm sure there will be something that you will find of interest.
