St David’s Hospice is a registered charity caring for adult patients from across North West Wales, with an end of life illness such as cancer.The majority of funds we need to keep the Hospice running, come from community support and fundraising activities.
So, by raising money for St David’s, you will be helping to improve the quality of life for hundreds of patients across Anglesey, Gwynedd and Conwy.

What We Do
We provide physical, emotional and spiritual support for the patient, their family and carers, at our Inpatient and Day Care Hospice in Llandudno.St David’s sees somebody as a living person, not a dying patient and we help add life to days, even if days cannot be added to life.
We provide palliative or ‘comfort’ care - including pain and symptom control, therapies, counselling and advice to support the patient every step of the way.

St David's Hospice and the people of the community it serves, organise various events throughout the year to raise much needed funds. Events will be posted here for all to see. Caer Rhun Hall is once again holding a Black Tie Charity BBQ in a marquee in their very beautiful grounds, and we are pleased to confirm that St David’s Hospice will be the chief beneficiary.

With delicious food in such a wonderful location, it’s bound to be a really great night, and to make it even more special over 50% of the profits will be donated to help St David’s Hospice contin...ue in our vital role, providing free end of life care to the people of Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey. The remainder of the profits will go to the Helena Kennedy Foundation which helps disadvantaged students from further and adult education sectors move on to employment.

Tickets need to be booked in blocks of 10 at £40 a head. For this you can expect the first class food for which Caer Hun Hall is renowned, wine on the table, entertainment in the form of well-known local DJ and entertainer, Gary Carr, and possibly more.

A good cup of coffee which is very reasonably priced last time I was there.

The annual ball is traditional a big event for St David's, and the money raised makes a considerable contribution to the cost of caring for our patients. This,of course, would not be possible if it were not for all of you who support this event regularly.
This year the Ball goes BOLLYWOOD! Colour, excitement, great music and fabulous food will be the order of the night.
Exotic... Glamourous...Extraordinary... A chance to dress with all the style and elegance associated with the east, and maybe a chance to do something completely different!

They are especially looking for volunteers at these shops- Colwyn Bay (afternoons), Rhos on Sea (weekends) and Beaumaris (any time). Due to unforseen circumstances the Bollywood Ball has been cancelled. But there will be a St David's Hospice Christmas Ball on Saturday 17th December 2011 So for all those who were intending to come to the Bollywood and are disappointed, don't worry you can still enjoy the all the fun of hospice ball! It will be in a grand heated marquee in the grounds of Fugro Robertson, Llanrhos....... more details to follow... Fundraisng Team, St David's Hospice

St David's Hospice has teamed up with Giveacar, the UK’s largest scrap car and vehicle donation service. The service organises the free collection and recycling of any car or vehicle, anywhere in the UK. St David's Hospice is able to benefit either from the scrap metal value of the car, or if it is more valuable, the sale price at auction. How Does It Work?
Giveacar works in conjunction with the largest nationwide car recycling network to coordinate the donation of cars. Any car that is donated will either be sold in a salvage auction for its salvage value, or disposed of at an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF). Their salvage partner guarantees a return for every car we give them - regardless of condition!

The process is very simple. When you call or email Giveacar, they will arrange a convenient time to send round a tow truck. Your vehicle is picked up by the largest vehicle manufacturer approved car recycling network in the UK. They will pick up any car, at no cost to you, and either sell it at a salvage auction, or dispose of it through an authorised treatment facility. Either way St David's benefits!

Three Easy Steps
1. Contact: Fill in Giveacar's online car donation form or call them on 020 0011 1664
2. Collection: A collection agent will arrange a convenient time for vehicle collection within 7 days of your initial inquiry
3. Donate: Depending on a vehicle's state of repair, it will either be sold at auction or disposed of at an Authorised Treatment Facility. Giveacar receives payment after the sale or disposal. They then make a donation to your chosen charity and you will be sent a receipt from both Giveacar and the charity.
