I was in the garden the other night and had forgotten all about the ISS but I saw it quite clearly although it was very low and then it went behind the heavy cloud cover. :(

brilliant sighting in a clear and starry sky last night at 10.38, shortly after I read your post, thanks Bellringer :)

Yes I viewed that one too and it was good. I had intended viewing the earlier scheduled 5 min one at 9.03pm but got a bit interested in "Lewis", and missed it.
Two possible sightings tonight, a 6 min one at 9.28pm and a 2 min one at 11.03pm

some (very) early morning sightings at present, but not much hope of clear skies, Perseids Meteor shower is due to peak on the 12-13th August, but due to a full moon, it may be better to view earlier or later in the month in darker skies. In a good year you can spot up to 100 meteors per hour.
