Title: Pre. 1914 cargo from Conwy to Ireland

A friend of mine had a relative who went as crew on a 3 masted schooner from Conwy to Ireland. This was early 1900s and the cargo was potatoes, either to Ireland or from there.

Does anyone know of where I can find any info to tie in with this. Thank you, Alan Williams

Did anyone see the tv programme who do you think you are about 2 weeks ago. Can not remember her name, but was a lady from the Newcastle area whose grandfather was master of a sailing ship that had sailed from Conway to Canada and on the return journey was lost without trace.
I wondered at that time what cargo would be loaded at Conway to cross the Atlantic.
Might it have been slates loaded at Deganwy
Are there any books etc detailing the trades in and out of Conway ?

I wondered that too. The lady featured was Cheryl Cole, btw.
