Title: The "Corby trouser press FREE!!!" saga - unique to the TTF!
Post by: Merddin Emrys on October 01, 2013, 02:23:11 pm
This came from the local auction, I didn't want it, but no bids and it was included with the lot I bought! Free to anyone who wants it, it's passed a pat test and it seems to work ok. Useful to any hotel owners?

I have a white one that will be available near the end of October.  Without the jacket holder it can be wall mounted, in fact, I have mine on the end of a run of wardrobes.  The feet just slide off.   ;)

I'm glad I'm not a trouser press or I'd feel really unwanted.
I mean, I feel mostly unwanted anyway but that would put the top hat on it, sniff, sniff.

:o I don't want another one! It was the lot before the one I wanted and I'd said to erindoors, no one will want the trouser press! I was right and then it got included with the next lot! It could have been worse though, later on a nice old elm chair suddenly got a metal double bed included with it!  :o all part of the fun of auctions!

20 per cent off now!  D)

The easiest solution is to off-load the problem.  Give it to St David's Hospice and let them sell it!   ;D

Problem is, you can't double up on this appliance, it's either a trouser press or a turkey cooker.
Think what a mess there will be if you get it wrong, bits of cotton on your turkey.  L0L
To be perfectly honest I don't think this will catch on.
ME, you could put it outside in the winter for the birds to warm their little feet on with a bowl of water which won't freeze.
You see it's all coming back to me now, brilliant ideas which I thought had gone forever, thanks ME. Z**

I bought one about 30 years ago for my OH and he  presses his trousers in it every day that he doesn't take a clean pair from the wardrobe.
The answer to this is obviously jeans-- and he doesn't possess a pair !
Haven't found any feathers in it yet-- I must watch out, especially nearer Christmas. ;D

The space we will have to begin with before knocking walls out, It will be suspended from the ceiling so a grill pan or drip tray will be needed i also will need a mallet as i have heard like the world, turkeys are not flat by nature  ZXZ

I think I will turn my Corby Trouser Press, circa 1986 vintage into a very efficient flower press.  Very little effort required to convert and its size alone will make it a formidable piece of equipment.

Might be worth the expense of patenting the darn idea! ZXZ

How about a welly warmer, no a WELLY warmer.
Horizontal position in the garage, open it up, switch on, place wellies on the heated surface and bingo, warm wellies for when you go out into the snow etc.

We  don't want them sold, we want to carry on with this topic, it's the only fun I get.

We thought of putting out FLY posters.
So we would need someone to ZIP around posting them.
We thought that we could POCKET the cash.

Just noticed you off loaded your corby Yorkie! I was hoping to buy it Next Christmas LOL

I'm sure there must be a plethora of its relations for you to choose from!  Try EBay, or get a new one from Amazon.    ZXZ

Of course they did seem to multiply in great numbers, Well done Yorkie on your sale! Must try to off load some stuff, moved recently and now have filled the garage. Dont think there are any Corby's in there tho  :o
