Title: Death in 1947 at Railway Station, Llandudno Junction.
Post by: Helig on August 31, 2012, 10:46:51 am
I discovered recently that, George Edward Osborne,  the husband of a relative died aged 55 on 17 February 1947. The details have state that he died at LMS Railway, Llandudno Junction.

I am curious as to what happened exactly. Is it possible for a kind person to look this up in the local records please? I am sure it would have been reported in the press.

Helig.

This tragic incident was reported in the North Wales Weekly News on Thursday 20th February 1947 on pg3.     On the 27th February 1947 is a report of his obituary in the same paper and that is also on pg 3.
The Archives will e-mail a copy of the articles to me and if you still want to know the details I'll post them on here.

Hello Hugo,

Thank you very much for taking the trouble to find these and post them on this board. The circumstances do not come as a great surprise, there was a family story about a death by hanging of this kind.

Thanks again. My apologies for the delay in replying, I have been offline for a few days now.

Helig.

Thanks Helig, it was no trouble to get the info as I often go to the Conwy Archives anyway.
