A series of photo comparisons from the local area - one photo/postcard taken many years ago, and a recent one from the same viewpoint  to see how it has changed...

The former Foresters Arms pub in Gyffin, Conwy, in 1901:

DaveR thanks for some really fascinating comparison photos, we live in Gyffin and often wonder what the pub looked like when it was open, now we know.  From what I have read it was something of a thorn in the side of the "establishment" and I think there was something about it having it's licence revoked in the early 1900's, (the pub refused to close on the day of Queen Victoria's funeral???), which led to it's final closure.

Fester, I think Martin means this one which some friends of mine recently sold.

It's the long since closed  Foresters Arms in Gyffin as shown in DaveR's post of the 6th November 2010.
