Thursday night, that's Oscars brothers night too so watch out for him!
-
Oscar has a brother?! How will we know him?
-
So who's going tomorrow, I'm really looking forward to it. I'll have to disappear for an hour as we've got a pool cup match at the club so as soon as I've won my game (fingers crossed) I will rejoin the party.
:D :D

Don't look forward to it TOO much Pen...
Judging by the underwhelming response that I have seen, its likely to be YOU, ME amd DAVE R.... just like it was last Sunday!
Even Paddy has gone strangely silent, and it was his idea!
-
Unfortunately, or probably fortunately, I will not be there. I am teetotal and for some unknown reason I do not like pubs, except the dining area for a meal. I believe it all started from an incident as a child and I cannot stand being part of a crowd in a confined space. Technically I believe it is refered to as agoraphobia. I hope everyone has a great time.
Now if someone wants to organise a lunch or dinner. . . . . . . . . . . ZXZ

Erm anyone know of an open air restaurant lol only messing Yorkie. I was hoping you would come so I could put a face to the cheeky posts :-* :-*

Sadly this Thursday is one of the few nights in the next few weeks that I'm busy. I hope you all have a great night though and I'm sure there'll be plenty of other opportunities to meet up.
-
we are hoping to come for an hour or too, mind you I'm not a big drinker and like Yorkie usually only go in pubs to eat and I'll be driving too, nice to have a natter though! $drink$
-
For what its worth, I think tonight should be postponed....(re-arranged) .... not enough interest.
I'm out with Dave R this afternoon anyway, and Angie has a pre-arranged pool match!
Mr and Mrs Merddin can't stay long either due to some riduculous new law about drinking and driving!
-
I did not think to reply on the Forum, I was just going to turn up around 7.30 ish. I f you re-arrange I'll confirm my intentions. Quiggs.
-

Actually, that's from the Greek meaning 'Fear of the market place' and it's more a fear of crowds in the open.
-
The original incident did occur out in the open - but it makes no difference to me now whether 'tis outside or inside! ;D
Maybe it should be ochlophobia? Z**
-
I'll only be gone half an hour, is it still on?
-
Yes, it's still going ahead.
-
I must admit I've only just spotted this. I would have loved to attend but unfortunately (and I mean unfortunately with a capital U) I've already agreed to go late night shopping.
-
I'll try to be there about 7-30, after I've taken my wife home from work. ( I have to do this to make sure she hasn't skived off. WWW )
-
O.K. I'm just starting off at around 5.45 because Im coming by bus. No need for me to tell you why (NO. THE BLOODY CAR HAS NOT BROKEN DOWN). But, Fester, no elegant dress style like you suggested I should have at the Tudno FM bash. If I'm going to be sat on a bus and a walk at both ends, I'm going to be warm (and scruffy) Mike Ormegolf
-

Well at least you'll blend in. Watch out for those foreign drivers.....you could end up anywhere _))*
-
Only just returned home from an event I was committed to already when this was arranged. Hope you all have/had a good time.
-
8 members turned up in the end, 6 of us are still here in the Kings Head. A pleasure to see everyone!
-
That's why it is so quiet on the Forum this evening! Hope the "meet" is a big success! :D
-
i'd love to be there but Christmas is my busiest time of the year, so I'll miss the meetup. Have fun folks
-
I am home, safe and well watered after a really enjoyable night with my fellow Forum members.
What looked like being a bit of a non event earlier today, was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
I didn't meet anyone new, because I have been privileged to have met them all during this year... but what a great time I had being round a table, all together with a beer in hand. Z** Z**
Around the table there was..
The ever delightful Nemesis,
The fun and feisty Pendragon,
The hilarious (and too generous) Mike OrmeGolf.
The brilliant and interesting Mr Quiggs
The self-effacing and always pleasant Merddin Emrys, together with the beautiful and vivacious Mrs Merddin Emrys,..(bit squiffy tonight ha ha) ZXZ
The extremely tight-fisted, but knowledgeable Dave R (well after all, knowledge IS power)
...and little old me.
Why am I home already? Because I ran out of money, and I'm under the thumb!
Can't wait until the next meet up .... the more the merrier. D) D) D)
-
We really enjoyed it too, good to put faces to names ZXZ
-
wish I could have made it but could do with a bit more notice !
-
Noted, Sue. :) I just chose the date as we were getting closer and closer to Christmas and I knew less people would be available the closer we got.
We shall try and give a couple of weeks notice next time and, of course, it doesn't necessarily have to be in the evening or even in a pub - could be a Sunday afternoon, for example.
-
I had a excellent night too. It was an experience walking to the bus stop with Mike doing a spider man all the way down the hill. Sorry for grassing you up Mike but it was funny. _))*
Fester I'm not feisty, anyone who knows me knows full well I am the quiet shy type.....not ::) I could have borrowed you some cash for a minimal fee :D
We'll have to do it again met some really nice people.
-
Hi again all, only just got in from 'work' so to speak so only just logged on.
What a great evening-- thoroughly enjoyed everyone's company and chat. Thanks for the drinks Mike.
Glad you all got home in one piece--- my "spy in the corner" said she left before you, now what was that expression she used???? :o All a bit tiddly !!!! ;D ;D ;D
-
Yes, it was a very nice night. Pendragon, if you think it was funny me going DOWN the hill in Llandudno, you should have seen me going UP the hill in Old Colwyn. Gravity nearly sent me back to the bottom once or twice!!!! Mike
-
I wish to add my comments to the evening as well, I had met Fester previously, but was pleased to meet all the others and put faces to names on the Forum. Ormegolf was someone I recognised but couldn't place, he said the same about me, after a short investigation and discussion we realised that we'd passed each other on the road whilst driving buses, the drivers of which, usually acknowledge each other as they pass on the road. ( a kind of courtesy gesture, like were in the same s--t as each other ) I soon realised how much he was enjoying the evening when he started to repeat himself. Great to meet you Mike, and enjoyed the evening with you all. Seasons Greetings to you and all on the Forum. XXXX.
-
According to all the feedback... we all had a great time, ..except DAVE R !
Well, I know he's not a lover of pubs and drinking beer ...(YEAH RIGHT!) Z**
We shall have to have a New Year get together, and then an Easter one, and then a Spring one...and then one for each persons birthday... ZXZ
-
Ooooh-- mine's next month !
-
You haven't put it on the Forum Calader yet! ))*
-

Just put mine in, didn't realise you could do that.........nice one :D
-
This is really for Quiggs. I'm glad to have bumped into you (Oh, sorry, drivers should never say that) but I don't understand this repeating myself bit. I only asked if you were an alpine driver. Then I said I was hoping to go on an alpine holiday. Then I said we were all pining for another drink.Mike
-
So when's our next meeting then? ZXZ
-
May I suggest an evening meeting in a local hotel for a quiet meal with a few drinks, where everyone can get the opportunity to meet with each other, avoiding the noise and confusuion created in a pub atmosphere.
Maybe somewhere like The Esplanade, The Can Y Bae or a similar place.
Not being a Pub person this type of evening would be more appreciated.
-
I'm still waiting on Mr Trojan before planning anthing further on this,,,
Yorkie, we perched ourselves up in the top section of The King's Head last time.... on a quiet night.
Good atmosphere, no noise, and a big ampi-theatre to facilitate a broad and friendly discussion..
It worked well in my opinion...
-
That sounds OK to me. Unfortunately I suffer from Ochlophobia which is one reason you will never see me at a football match! $uk

I have never heard of Ochlophobia until now when I Googled it and being totally serious (unusual for me I know) a lot of what I read applies to me, I like open spaces, I hate feeling trapped in a space, feeling unable to get out instantly. Having said that I felt fine in the last meeting at the King's Head chatting with friends ZXZ
Plus if you remember that test on here last year, it seemed to suggest that I was partly autistic :o
am I doomed? nah, I'm having a great time! D)

Try going to Anfield. Plenty of open space there. ;D
-
Trojan....when are you next home? THAT is the key to the next booze-up.
Yorkie and Merddin.... there is nothing wrong with either of you, just get your arses to the OPEN SPACE of the King's Head.
-
Fester, you know we'll be there like a shot Z** ZXZ
-
Trojan....when are you next home?
I thought it was one of the quiz questions. 8)
What if I get called a **** by a drunken Godfather Administrator Sector Ambassador? (that one didn't get past me! :D) hmm......I'd rather come home in the summer I think.
-
Eh? The December date was the LAST meet up.
Anyway I'm not begging you.... I always have the Godfather to go boozing with....
Now that the ''St Georges Plaice'' exists, I reckon we could call Mr Dickens The Cod-Father?
-

:o Is it my round next or something?

Oh yes, so it was. :-[
I just looked at the title and thought everything was arranged for next December. L0L
:rage: Have edited my post accordingly. Must be tired, it's been a long day.
L0L The Cod-Father.
I'll let you know when I'm over next.......or maybe I'll just surprise you. WWW
