The Eryri Connection<br /><br />2013 marks the sixtieth anniversary of the first successful attempt to climb Everest by Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay. To celebrate this world famous achievement, the Friends of St Julitta&rsquo;s Capel Curig have teamed up with Conwy County Borough Council to produce an exhibition that explores the fascinating connection between Snowdonia and the Himalaya

we were taken to Pentre Broughton picture house to see the film of the climb, what an achievement. not the climb but the fact that they got us to walk up to the picture house without any of us sneaking off. and yes i was only a little boy then before you ask
