I have recently been goin through some family documents and phot.ographs
A number of these refer to family living in Council Street during the 1930s and onwards. Looking on Street View Council Street now appears to be an Industrial estate.
My query is , was it renamed Norman Road at sometime as that looks like the road I remember from my younger days, and were the houses renumbered ?

Yes , it was renamed as Norman Road, not sure when though.

I recall it was sometime in the 1980s when the old Council houses were converted into sheltered flats for the elderly. The Council forgot about about Council Street West which still retains its original name!

Thanks for the prompt replies.
Hope to visit soon and see for myself.
