I have a blocked surface water drain and the recent wet weather isn't helping much. Can anyone recommend a reliable drain cleaner who doesn't charge the earth?

I got a set of drain rods I can lend you.
First get your Marigolds on and stick your hand down and see if the trap is blocked with silt or rubbish.

We used this firm. They came quickly and did the job well. We can't remember the cost though.

Thanks for the offer Yorkie but I've already tried it and even hired a cable drain rod but it didn't work. The problem is with a blocked gully and drainpipe that I can't access because it has had decking put over the gully. :rage:
Thanks Hollins, I'll give them a go tomorrow. I've spent the last half hour brushing the water away and now I'm whacked!

A lesson to be learned - never build over any service access point! :D

Thanks Hollins and Dwsi for your recommendations which I didn't do anything about until this morning. I went for TT drainage in the end and phoned up and they were extremely helpful and even gave me a price over the phone. Anyway they came and sorted out the blockage in no time at all. It's up to me now to see that the drain doesn't get blocked up in the future. Thanks everyone. $good$
