I am sure most forum members will have walked past this memorial stone on the promenade over the years.
Some will also have fond memories of some or all of those who sadly perished.
This saturday, it will be the twentieth anniverary of the tragic disaster.

And, of course, Richard Shenouda who was the only one who survived.
His life has not been very rosy since.

Well I did not know that Yorkie.
Nevertheless, today is still worthy of remembrance for the five friends who lost their lives 20 years ago on this very day.

I remember the incident well as my Son was the same age as those poor kids who lost their lives and he knew them all. It is, unfortunately, one of those incidents that will never be forgotten.
