It all hits town today (Tuesday 5th) ready for rour days of touring and competition throughout North Wales. Starting at 0700 hours each morning the 100+ classic cars (ranging from 1932 to 1981) will take in the Llyn Peninsula (Wednesday), Anglesey (Thursday), south to the Dolgellau area (Friday) and along the coast eastwards and back (Saturday). Saturday begins with the tests around the Marine Drive, and finishes later in the day with tests from the West Shore end (start at Rest & Be Thankful) to finish near the half-way tram station.
Spectators welcome on the Prom, or yoiu can enjoy viewing the start if the last tests at R&BT (sorry, you have to walk from West Shore or from the Summit down the west side). Marine Drive will be closed for all - including cyclists and walkers. More info, including daily spectator viewing points, on www.three-castles.co.uk (http://www.three-castles.co.uk)
Enjoy the nostalgia!

We had a look this afternoon and fell in love with a stunning Jaguar XK140 (we may be slightly biased towards Jaguars! ;D )

Some superb photos there.
I'm Chief Marshal for the event and have been going round the route ahead of the cars to check marshals in position - today ranks amongst the wettest days motorsport I've ever been on (in over 40 years!) yet all the marshals in position and ready, many doing a second control during the day - huge thanks to them all as without them there would be no event. Unfortunately the splendid views from the lanes above Dolgellau and Harlech could not be seen due to the weather - just whoever is responsible should be sacked!
Hope tomorrow is kinder, I'll be going round the Orme at about 0530 hours then heading eastwards as far as Holywell. The convoy returns to Llandudno for the final tests around the Orme (the "wrong" way) and finishing at the Half-way Tram Station, first car due there approx 1315 hours. Finish on the Prom shortly afterwards.
If you see me say hello (you can tell it's me by the registration number of my car!) - I've yet to meet a forum member (except one!)
