Now that was a firm after my own heart. Gordon Roberts the proprietor, lives up Laundry Hill in the Bay.  What a man.

His great rivals in Llandudno, Alpine.  Sorry to the Owens family but, not in the same street.

We used to go to Wrexham on Gwalia coaches ,i think Mr Roberts son was a traffic officer if i remember, and of course it was Pyes coaches before that ,those lovely orange ones ,good old days and it is only now that Wrexham FC are playing like they did then.

Wasn't their depot at one time at the back of Central School, it was a dairy before Gwalia went there.  I think a someone called Ray Ellis (Ray Gogs) worked in the office.

I can recall fond trips to Alton Towers with Gwalia in the 1980's, happy days.

Hello Colwynboy. Had to read your post because of the title "Gwalia Coaches." I knew that firm very, very well

Weren't Gwalia the ones with the awful colour scheme, some sort of vivid purple or pink?

EDIT: Yes it was, I found this photo of one parked up in Colwyn Bay. Possibly a young Mike Ormegolf had just stepped out of the cab?

Did you see the Crosville bus at the Forties Festival last weekend? It did over a million miles before it was retired.
