Title: Bits and Pieces!
Post by: RichieC on July 23, 2011, 12:54:08 pm
Forumers might like to know that Llandudno goes international by being one of this month's 'puzzles of the month' on the worldwide jigsaw-puzzle site "thejigsawpuzzles.com"

I will not to make things too easy for readers by explaining the techniques available, but the facilities are in the bottom right hand corner one can click on/click off the counter if the contest is interrupted, and one can have one's score registered to compare with other players internationally.

Could well be an educational opportunity, reminding through trial and error which buildings in the town are nearest to each other!

If this link doesn't work, the website name is in the title, as viewers on different systems might have to register in order to participate. Free registration anyway.

In the "Great Sightings" section there's the "Summit of Snowdon Railway" and in the 'Bridges' gallery the old Menai Bridge in Summer is one of the attractions......

The puzzles are marvellous at testing one's own sense of logic-and capacity for temptation. Try to have more than sector of the game in progress but not too many to cause confusion. You've all probably found out that once the pieces have become interlocked there is no way of separating them-and hence you will 'lose' pieces underneath masses of completed picture.

As far as addiction is concerned it beats all the compulsions I've had in the past near-60 years; and boy, I've had quite a few I can tell you! L0L

... a simpler puzzle - It's a jigsaw, it's a race against time, it's a dearly departed landmark from the West Shore with connections to the Alice story - the time to beat so far is TWO MINUTES!:
