Quote99.9% of the visitors to Llandudno could not care less about Alice in Wonderland and its largely imaginary links to the town. Not sure about that. Nostalgia is a powerful thing, and Disney films during childhood, an adult who was read the stories and some canny marketing to grandparents could prove a winning combination. It marks Llandudno out as different and even special.

Ian, take a closer look at Llandudno when it's busy.... I doubt if 90% of visitors these days have ever read ANYTHING in their lives.
It would mark out Llandudno as being special if there were actually any real links with the Alice stories...but there aren't!
I suppose Beddgelert does very well with the fictitious dog's grave story!
