Live A55 updates as crash sees traffic held at tunnel
The collision took place near the westbound Penmaenbach tunnel and traffic is building
Mrs H was lucky today when returning home from Rhyl in the west bound lane.   Normally she would exit the A55 at the Rhos on Sea turn off but could see the queue of traffic ahead and took the Morrison turn off instead.     Accidents on the A55 seem to be quite frequent nowadays

Interesting statistics Ian, no wonder we don't see the Police on the streets, they must be so busy completing stats

Thanks Hammy, that's the name I couldn't remember.    That number plate is an old Denbighshire number and would be worth a bit now

I think that the little weeds are getting wise to me and ducking their heads when the mower comes near them, but I'm reverting to plan B and I've sent off for some spot weedkiller so that should sort them out.
The neighbour across the road has loads of Dandelions but they have stems of about 8 inches so they are easy to mow up.    He also has what must be the world's tallest Dandelion at about 5 feet tall and still growing

Hugo, That would have been Rhos County Garage. My grandad bought a new Morris 1000 from them in 1963 (8779 UN).

Thanks Steve and you are spot on.  The garage must have been on the site where Fortes now is.     If you look at Google street view now you can see the houses that are still there and the nice arched windows on the first floor are still there
I think that there was another garage on the corner of Penrhyn Avenue and Colwyn Avenue but that went some time ago and  there may be flats there now next to the Spar

Norman, statistics don't mean a thing, they can be used in any way that suits their cause.      They may well have recruited 20,000 people but I bet that more Police have retired or left the force since 2019 and it wouldn't surprise me if the number of Police Officers in Post now is ,below the 2019 figure
This is the General Election year so the Parties are all full of Hype like they were in 2019
Remember Boris' promises that they will build 40 new hospitals?    Another lie
We'll take control of our borders another lie

Hugo we know very well this 20 k extra police is another Tory lie.   The force in this area is that understaffed they have to draft them in from Merseyside Manchester and Cheshire forces, few years ago we had a sergeant who said he?d go into work in the morning there would be him and a PCSO if two calls came in he would have to decide the one to attend.  This gov keep saying crime is down. But every day you are hearing / seeing stabbings or shootings etc.
