Very sad to have to report Mike Thomas, known locally as Mike the Watch has died unexpectedly last weekend. A good man gone far to early he will be missed R.I.P. My condolences to Gale and family.

This is very sad news. Mike has been a contributor to the Forum since the very start and was posting on here only a couple of days ago. RIP Mike.

How very sad. I think that is the first time since I joined the forum to hear of a members' passing.
I didn't know Mike personally but enjoyed his contributions and would like to send my condolences to his family.

That is terrible news! Mike had repaired a few watches for me, always a really nice man, very sad news!

I only knew Mike through the forum, ....my condolences to his family.

Mike emailed me a couple of times in the last few weeks,  so I'm shocked to hear of his passing.
I met him once or twice, he certainly wasn't an old man.
