Has anyone on the forum used Airbnb to book accommodation abroad. Airbnb is an online marketplace for holiday rentals that connects users with property to rent with users looking to rent the space. There seems to be some really good properties on offer at very reasonable prices but I'd welcome views from members on how easy or safe it is to use them to book accommodation.

Sorry to say that you should be very careful booking private holiday lets.  Do it through a recognised agency, and then only after checking them out.  This field has attracted a lot of bad characters as seen on TV and on the web over past years.
