Wow, what a view from there ...  it even rivals Mike's view from the 5th tee!

Just beautiful ...

You should take a stroll to the ski lodge sometime Fester. My favorite place in town to chill, have a few pints, and the view is still beautiful!

Played many a round there myself, the uphill sections were a nightmare however.

Trojan,
I live quite near the Ski Lodge,  and I go there whenever my in laws are in town ... they love it there,  so its the first place we go!

It is a beautiful view, and you can't see the evil wind turbines from that angle either!

Is it just me that finds the food selection at the Ski Lodge a bit poor? A great place to sit outside with a pint, certainly, but not a lot of choice in what to eat.

I know what you mean Dave, ..not the most exciting menu.

But its always very quiet when I have called in,  the sandwiches and jacket spuds are very nice,  ..but if the menu was any more extensive I think they would be risking a lot of wastage.

Perhaps it's always so quiet because the food selection is so poor? Many's the time I've hesitated outside and then carried on down into town to eat after remembering how limited the menu is.

Indeed, the whole Ski Slope looks a bit run down. there's a boarded up kiosk at the bottom of the slope itself that looks rubbish, all the paths are very uneven, the car park is full of craters, landscaping of the whole site is very poor. Needs some money spending on it.

What doesn't need some money spending on it?

Trouble is, its a vicious circle ... poor upkeep, ...fewer customers.....no money to re-invest .....even less customers.....wrack and ruin! ... no customers

I saw this postcard from 1910 on Ebay - of the 'Devil's cave' on the Little Orme. It's the first time I've heard this name mentioned - does anyone know more? Where is it on the Little Orme?

It's called Ogof Cythreuliaid in Welsh Dave and can only really be accessed by boat, or if you're a strong swimmer. There is another nearby called Eglwys Wen (White church) which is also only accessible from the sea.

The old adage to the two caves may apply.....The nearer the church the further from God. Nearer the church - Eglwys Wen, further from God - Ogof Cythreuliaid.

If you study your postcard you can just see part of a boat beyond the furthest person in the cave.

Maps of the Little Orme rarely show the two caves:
