Title: How Britain Worked
Post by: SDQ on October 21, 2012, 11:52:21 am
A few months ago someone posted a picture of Guy Martin filming on the Great Orme Tramway, he has a new series starting at 8pm this evening on Channel 4 celebrating the workers of the Industrial Revolution so it's highly possible the filming was for part of this series. I just thought I'd mention it for anyone who may be interested & want to watch/Sky+ it.

His day job is racing motorcycles, primarily road races like the IOM TT, but he's also a truck mechanic like his father before him. Being quite a colourful character his popularity and interest in engineering has lead to a television career, some of his shows are even used in British schools to teach children about the Industrial Revolution.

Guy did a previous series on a narrow boat, he reminds me of a young Fred Dibnah, very good at what he does!
