Really sad to hear about the passing of The Crafty Cockney, Eric Bristow.
5 times world Darts champion.
Only 60 years old.
He was a hero of mine, and I still throw the Eric Bristow Darts I’ve owned for 35 years in my league matches.

And still throw them pretty well so I’ve been told

Unfortunately not Mike, I had a purple patch of about 5 years when I picked up a lot of silverware, (by silverware I refer of course to those wooden plaques and marble/plastic trophies that are worth tuppence in Timpsons)
Last year I had the honour of being selected for the Super League in N Wales, which meant traveling about 200 mile round trips to matches. I found myself out of my depth at that level, and lost 8 of the 10 matches I played. Then it dawned on me that I probably only got selected as I was the only one stupid enough to drive to Aberystwyth and back on a Sunday night.
Since then, my form has been that bad that I’m playing like a 5 year old girl.
In fact, a five year old girl with no arms.
