Well that didn't fool you DVT.          If you had of got it wrong I'd have been surprised.

It is in Nant Y Felin Maenan and was in Caernarfonshire because of Edward 1.            Your Great Grandfather John Vaughan was the Miller at the Corn Mill across the road but according to a local lady I spoke to he lived at the Mill House ( the one in the photo ) which later became the Post Office

Are you trying to fool us by saying it was in Caernarvonshire?  I think it is Maenan, which is on the east side of the River Conwy but, at one time, was in Caernarvonshire!

My great-grandfather, John Vaughan, was the miller at the Mill just down the road!

Meet the canine taste testers who turned North Wales pub into UK?s best during 'shocking' times
The Tal-y-Cafn was relaunched during Covid and is again facing adversity

A pub hotel in the Conwy Valley has been saluted for its family ethos and, specifically, for the VIP treatment it gives its canine customers. On arrival at The Tal-y-cafn, dogs are each provided with a bowl of water and a comfortable blanket to lie on.

Once settled down on teddy bear fleece, their owners might care to examine the dog menu. It?s really quite extensive: some human equivalents don?t offer this many dishes.

Public satisfaction with NHS at lowest ever level, survey shows

Public satisfaction with the NHS has dropped again, setting a new low recorded by the long-running British Social Attitudes survey.

Just 24% said they were satisfied with the NHS in 2023, with waiting times and staff shortages the biggest concerns.

That is five percentage points down on last year and a drop from the 2010 high of 70% satisfaction.

The poll - the gold-standard measure of the public's view of the health service - has been running since 1983.

A PERSON was airlifted to hospital after being "seriously injured" at a hotel in Llandudno yesterday (March 27).  Pioneer

Wales Air Ambulance and the Llandudno Coastguard attended the incident, at a hotel on the promenade, which required a cliff rescue stretcher to get the casualty to the helicopter.

The person was then airlifted to hospital for "urgent" treatment.

A Llandudno Coastguard spokesperson said: "We were called out yesterday (Wednesday) to assist our colleagues at Wales Air Ambulance with extracting a seriously injured casualty from a local hotel.

"We were able to use our cliff rescue stretcher to negotiate some tricky stairs and steps and then convey the casualty to the helicopter on the prom.

"We then kept the area clear whilst the helicopter took off and conveyed the casualty to hospital for some urgent treatment.

"If you are aware of anyone in any danger or distress anywhere around the coast, please call 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
