THE QUEEN?S HOTEL in Llandudno could be set to reopen, four years after closing its doors.    pioneer

The hotel was one of three establishments, along with the Belmont and the Llandudno Bay Hotel, that had gone into administration in 2020.

The hotel closed permanently in May that year, having been welcoming guests for more than a century.

But hope for the future of the 83-bedroom hotel was restored when the building was snapped up by hotel operating chain Everbright Hotels in 2022.

Having earmarked an opening date in early 2025, the web page for the Queen?s Hotel says the venue is ?opening soon?.

A Llandudno seafront hotel has had its price cut in a bid to secure a sale. The Trevone Hotel forms part of the iconic terrace of hotels overlooking Llandudno Bay on the front.

It went up for sale back in April 2022 with a guide price of ?995,000 but that figure was later reduced to ?895,000. It has now had another reduction in its price and is on the market with Christie and Co for ?750,000.

The agent described the 24 bed hotel as "ideal for a lifestyle buyer" with scope to increase the bar and food operation at the site.

A SEAFRONT hotel in Llandudno has won a major global award after a ?green revolution? cut its carbon footprint by a huge 84 per cent.

The Grade II listed Llandudno Bay Hotel has been honoured at the international Lux Life Travel and Tourism Awards.

As a result of a raft of eco-friendly initiatives at the premises, owners the Everbright Group were crowned Sustainable Luxury Hotel Group of the Year.

The award is the latest in a series of accolades for the hotel, including being hailed as a trailblazer by the Net Zero North Wales Network for showing that investing in green technology made sound business sense as well as being good for the environment.

A STUNNING mansion near Llandudno Junction could again become a hotel, after revised plans were submitted.

The owners of Grade II listed Marle Hall, Marle Hall Holdings, had submitted a proposal for the site to be transformed into a 25-bedroom ?destination? hotel last year.

They had intended to use it as a venue for a variety of functions, such as weddings, with the site to also provide spa services.
