These guys have been selling fruit and veg in 'dudno for years..at least since I was a kid in the 80's. They used to have their greengrocers on the corner in Madoc St where the Londis (or Costcutters or whatever it is now) shop is. Used to smell gorgeous with all the fresh fruit. They are wholesalers but will sell to the public at their warehouse.

We went round to the warehouse to have a look but it all looked shut up and derelict...We dont like the veg from the supermarkets..Last week we went to the farmers market at conwy RSPB reserve...Bought some lovely veg and had a nice couple of hours walk round the reserve...What a shame about the A55 running by the side of it though!

Yeah the A55 really is a shame. That farmmarket is superb though! A few weeks ago I bought some lovely fruits and veggies there aswell.

Anyone know what is happening to the Sewing Machine Shop in Upper Mostyn Street? It has been closed two days this week and when I called today they seemed to be clearing things out.
Do hope it isn't closing-- it's a long way to the other shop ( Betty's)near the Tudno Castle just for a reel of cotton. :(

The walk will do you good!    :D

I have a few reels to dispose of but it means taking the sewing machine and cabinet as well.   :o

Thanks for your comment-- I doubt if the walk would do me much good-- some days I might get so far--other days I wouldn't get back.

It's rare to see a customer in there; I'm amazed it's stayed open so long.

I think they may sell sewing cotton at the Wool Corner?

Thanks for that Hollins-- I am actually after what I would call hat elastic-- I didn't mention elastic, as I know how some of these Forum minds work ! I can get it on - line, but don't want a vast quantity, so I will ask at The Wool Corner.

Thankyou Hollins-- I haven't been as far as the shop today, but will probably call before the end of the week.

That's really kind of you Llechwedd. If you do get the opportunity I am looking for black hat elastic to re-thread a bracelet, so only need a small amount. The stuff on the internet seems to involve large amounts.
I re-did it with some spandex stuff, but it has gone very loose, so I don't think that it was the correct thing to do it with.
If you have any luck, please let me know and I will arrange a meeting with you.
Thanks again

Just found this in an old sewing box. How amazing is that? You are welcome to it Nemesis if it is suitable. It is about 2mm in thickness.
