Wishing you all the best Medz,  and that is the first time I have heard of this procedure used for that condition.

I have had to clue myself up quite recently to help a family member who was diagnosed with it.
He is now over the radiography and associated therapies.
It has been inconvenient, and time consuming..... but now, you would not know he had had been affected at all.

I hope it's 'business as usual' for you too, very soon.

Thanks for all the kind wishes. Much appreciated. Robot has to be seen to be believed and offers surgeons  10 times magnification and accuracy over normal surgery.

Good luck with the operation Medz, it's marvellous what they can do now.     A friend of mine had it last year and has had the all clear and is back to his old self again.

I started this conversation off without themedz being mentioned, under the title something like "0ne of our members is going to hospital."  However after a post or to it changed its name to "missing persons."   Anyone any idea why? It certainly was nothing to do with me

I changed it, Mike, since it seemed appropriate.

Thanks Ian. It was just unfortunate timing that a local man went missing and there was a big police appeal for any information. All tourist attractions were written to individually, by email of course.

Just a quick update for all those who wished me well for the operation.
I returned home after a 4 day stay in The Christie in Manchester and am now almost 4 weeks after the procedure. Not certain if it was the power of the medication they sent me home with or the robotic key hole nature of the surgery but it seems to have been a lot less painful than I was expecting.
I have  managed to get out on a few very short walks in the last week or so and things are now heading back to some sort of normal.
I go for some tests next week to see whether the procedure has been successful.
Thanks once again for your kind thoughts.

Wish you all the very best, TM. And there's nowhere better than Christies for that problem, either.
