Most people would be surprised to see how little of what appears on TV News is actually the genuine, untouched footage. Cutaways, Noddies, dubs and staging are par for the course.

"Drop the Dead Donkey"; wonderful! The funniest show on TV at the time.

.  It might not be exactly under fire in war-torn Namibia, but as home-grown stories go it's an issue here, so well done.

Namibia is safer.War there ended in 1990..... 8)

Thanks for the comments, I think you're probably right about how we "sold" the story online, it could be interpreted as misleading but I think you're right in that we are highlighting a genuine issue. No comment from Conwy Council's "seagull committee"...

Please note.

The pay and display car park at Holy Trinity Church is closed to the general public from TODAY to allow resurfacing work to be carried out.
The work will take 3/4 weeks.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

If you didn't see it, you most likely heard it...
A massive military helicopter, one of those which have huge rear doors which vehicles can drive into, thundered access Llandudno bay this afternoon.
It passed over the pier no more than 30ft above it, it was an awesome spectacle before it went low out to sea and swung around Great Ormes Head toward Anglesey.
One thing was obvious, it had no markings or identification whatsoever, which makes one wonder if the SAS or some other special forces are operating on Anglesey?

There;s been a big exercise involving several NATO allies for the past two weeks. And there was an SBS base in Nant Ffrancon some years ago.

It's flying well below the normal height for a helicopter and one of those Chinooks flew over my house some months back and that was very low too.
The noise and vibration it caused was unbelievable.

Hi Andy, can I tweet those photos? And perhaps be so bold as to use them for the Post? Will credit you of course. Not sure how I missed it, I was in my flat in Llandudno at the time...
