Llandudno Toll House for sale £600,000K        :o

http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/property-insider-fancy-owning-your-11640073

Hang on a minute, that was for sale a few years ago, £400k, it never sold and was reduced to £275k at one point.
Also, typical Daily Post, can't even spell... it's MAGESTIC is it???   &shake& &shake&

Veg shop on Trinity Ave (old computer repair shop) closed already, sign saying "shop to let" in the window.

Did that last six months? Location was never right.
After all what is time, a mere tyranny.

Anyone know why the main street from Hooson's Corner to the far end, past the baths is covered in sand?

When I was coming into Llandudno this morning at half eight I followed a gritter lorry that seemed to be spreading sand/grit up and down Mostyn Street and also around Trinity Square! I though it slightly bizarre!

I heard that the early turn road sweeping vehicle suffered a fracture on a hydraulic system resulting in oil deposited.  The sand would presumably be to absorb the oil.

I've been meaning to relate this all week and was too busy to get around to it.

The Pier Pavilion site has had equipment on site all week, some kind of drilling machine and something that looked like a piling machine, plus another survey van.
Things are obviously progressing.

This photo does not give the right impression of Llandudno which was heaving with people, cars and coaches today!
Nice clouds though.

I had a look at the Pier Pavilion site today and the work that Fester described was still going on.

Hugo,  that's an extra couple of vehicles in addition to what I saw, these things don't come cheap I imagine,  so things must be advancing at a pace behind the scenes.
Looking forward to it!

Traffic is always bad at this time of the year in Llandudno but it doesn't help when you have thoughtless drivers and inconsiderate parkers.
I was by the Pier Pavilion site today and traffic was parked on both sides of the street as usual when  a great Orme tour bus was starting its route around the Marine Drive.   First of all there was a bill poster double parked on the Happy Valley side of the road and as the bus was passing the vehicle a commercial van kept coming towards the coach from the opposite direction with the result that no one could move.
I felt sorry for the coach driver who did nothing wrong and was pleased when the commercial van reluctantly had to reverse for the coach to get past.

Here's another example of CCBC lunacy, from the Daily Post.
Oh, and please teach them how to spell.   The Isle of Mann for God's sake?

At 2.50pm this afternoon, I witnessed two dolphins in the bay close to shore and opposite the Four Oaks Hotel.

You were very lucky to see such a wonderful sight Bri, were you able to take a photo of them?
