I've known Austin and his brother Martin for many years, as have many others, not least the police and courts!
It is a very sad state of affairs that has effected many, caused by drugs and addiction to them.
Austin when he was clean was an alright chap to talk to, but I'm sorry to say that was not very often of late.
He and is brother have family I am sure and it must have been hell for them.
He is at least at peace now.

Indeed Dave, vicious northerly wind, this was the sea crashing over the entrance to the Pier at Happy Valley Rd,  and you can see it surging up through the boards.

There is a large ship almost touching the shore by the Paddling Pool. It is the THV Mair, apparently.

Trinity House Vessel Mair, offten seen around here. Works on keeping the bouys along the North Wales coast in the right position and changing them as required.  $walesflag$

Interesting.
Perhaps some of the crew wanted to watch the snooker at Venue Cymru!

I was wondering if it was doing something for the new Lifeboat station, being as it was so close to shore next to the site of the station?

When the new Lifeboat Station is completed I hope that lessons will be learnt from the fiasco of the sailing club slipway.     The pebbles are always  moving in that area as you can see when you look in the Paddling Pool after a Winter storm.
The last thing they want after moving to the new site is any delay in clearing pebbles from the slipway prior to an emergency launch

The new Lifeboat trolley is designed to launch the boat directly into the sea without the need to use a slipway, so as long as they can get the door of the boathouse open, all should be well. I would just like to add, I'm very pleased Llandudno is finally getting its new lifeboat station and hopefully, this time because it's being built in the right location, it will be done without any animosity or ranker.
