Good Lad Mike!   Z**

I took an hour off work today, and I watched the parade for the first time in 7 years.
I loved it, I think it gets better as the years go by.   (Now that the bloody Star Wars characters are not in it!)

I bought myself a cheeseburger (from outside the Cups n Cakes shop), and a pint from The Carlton.
I sat on the roundabout by The Carlton, and was only 3 feet away from Mike Ormegolf as he majestically strode by me.... I said hello, but the adulation from the crowd was too great,  he couldn't hear me.

Wrex, and all involved... well done mate, it was another great weekend.

We saw the Parade from by the St Georges Hotel on Sunday. It was very entertaining and it was good to see Mike receiving so much attention from the crowd! His Caddie was very efficient at making sure everyone by us got a leaflet too.  $good$

They're probably busy making the new movie!

Bit of a heads up!

The Marine Drive is closed tomorrow (Friday 8th) from early until 5pm - Wales Rally GB are running a Business Day for event supporters to be given rally rides.  The run will start at the Rest & Be Thankful and go clockwise to finish near the toll gate - this is not a competitive event.  The runs will finish before 1pm.  North Wales Car Club members assisting with the event.

Further, next Wednesday (13th) Tour Britannia - the Orme is closed early for the classic cars to be run as a Special Stage around the Marine Drive (anti-clockwise, correct direction!).  First car due just after 7am and should all be finished by 10am.  The event is based in Llandudno from where they start on Wednesday, then head to Ireland, returning Friday (15th) afternoon!

Is this Llandudno driver North Wales' worst at parking?

I saw that car when I went for breakfast the other morning... properly parked cars were either side of it.

I assumed that either someone had parked there like that as an emergency, and would move it in a minute.
Or maybe they were there first, and assumed that you HAD to park like that... in line with the spaces in the middle of the road on Gloddaeth.
But obviously not, as it was still there some time later.

I may be imagining it but actual driving seems in more need of attention at the moment. Some of the overtaking on the A470 between Glan Conwy and Llanrwst has to be seen to be believed and the correct use of signals and roundabouts seems to have escaped quite a few of the car drivers.

The standard of driving does appear to be getting worse but those people doing the bad driving always seem to get away with it.  I've now got a video camera installed  in the car just in case I'm a victim of theses drivers

If you zoom in or squint your eyes, you can see a plane with a banner towed behind it...... flying over Llandudno bay today.

It says... 'I love you Angela,  will you marry me?'

A romantic and expensive gesture.... I just hope that Angela actually saw it!

Hi Fester - can the Daily Post/Weekly News please use that picture?

We can try and track down Angela!

Thanks,

I spoke to Angela and her Fiancee, soon after.... they are a very young couple from Lancashire.

She said... YES!
