Interesting to see what Llandudno's parking issue was in July 1949...

Personally I think The Parade should either be:
- widened (sacrilege I know);
- have parking on one side only; or
- have parking on both sides but made one way only towards the Great Orme with the main shopping street made one way in the opposite direction.

Nice bit of publicity for both Llandudno and the anti drink/drive campaign.

A safe and happy Christmas all.

Do you really think that's good publicity ,he wasn't, even driving ,instead of them messing about would have been better looking for the girl that's missing .

I think from his quote he was stopped whilst driving and anyway,

I think any message that gives  warning about Drinking and Driving and the likely hood of a random breath test is an extremely valuable one.

Any message that comes from a visiting celebrity that says "safe, clean town" is an excellent endorsement of Llandudno.

Any image that shows the Police as approachable human beings does a lot for public confidence in them and is no bad thing. The police force are often maligned but are the first port of call when needed.

Anyway, thankfully the missing girl has been found safe and well it's a win win all the way.

He looks very comfortable to me!  Some people actually enjoy such a Nomadic life.
But is there any special reason why he is homeless, is our magnificent Welfare State taking care of all the immigrants first, above our own countrymen?

Why not allow such as him to make use of MP's second homes during the Parliamentary recess!

This is quite a difficult subject as reading the article it seems clear reading between the lines that he was given a great deal of support, but caused trouble and disturbance at the property he was placed. Helping someone is two ways and if they don't want to help themselves, despite a lot of help being given, then what can be done?

There was a programme about the homeless situation in Swansea on a couple of years ago and a similar situation occurred there as I remember and it was quite frustrating to someone abusing housing and help they were given in that kind of way.

The Gentleman himself explains that he was indeed taken care of, by the Benefit System, and the Homeless Charities.

Sadly though he abused this help, more than once, and now he is where is is.

Born to Run,  are you planning to offer some tangible help to this guy, or are you merely content to post about him on the Internet?

Why should it be down to me personally to help? As a state we need to protect our vulnerable and needy.
Do you want me to go out and catch the criminals the police fail to catch as well Fester?
