Spot on! The own brand supermarket TV sets are to say the least not very good! Just look at the Which magazine reports on them! Much better with a decent quality Samsung or similar quality product!

In the first video Tesco seemed to have a job lot of Blaupunkt TV's and there were Samsungs in another but they are almost certainly 'end of line' sets. A good way of clearing old stock I guess but the way some people were acting was ridiculous to be honest. The stores only have themselves to blame for causing the hysteria, copied as usual from the US!

Argos website was also down for large parts of Friday, 'volume of traffic too high'

The Blaupunkt model tested by Which is a 'don't buy' there will be many disappointed people who have bought one of those!
Seeing those people fighting over them in Tescos is unbelievable! Did they do no research before going in to the big fight?  ???

I saw earlier that a Mini digger was once again clearing shingle from the Yacht Club slipway. Approx 30 foot of the slipway was covered with shingle. Funny to see one man working and no less than another five watching him.

I cannot understand why they need to do it this time of the year.

It seems a waste of money.

Our retirement group had it's Christmas Lunch at the Queens Hotel today and after enjoying a very nice meal there,  we were entertained afterwards by Stan and the Trinity Church Bell ringers.     $good$
It was really nice to watch and listen to the group enthusiastically doing the bellringing and I just wish that our Carol singing could have complemented you but it didn't.
Sorry about that Stan but we all enjoyed ourselves listening to you again.
Good luck at the Maenan Abbey on Wednesday and best wishes to you and all the Trinity Bell ringers for Christmas and the New Year.
