They have fenced off the old Monk's Path for Health and safety reasons but some rocks continue to come down.  This rock came down about 2 years ago at the same place but the fence stopped it from going onto the Marine Drive.

Indeed, road closed completely., even to some pedestrians.
So Llys Helig Drive residents have to go right round the Orme to get into town?

That's right.  And not just right round;  they had to ascend the zig zags as the toll booth had locked the gates across. And they weren't too pleased. Not sure if it's opened today.

Well we can now see what has been going on behind all that scaffolding on the Alexandra Hotel.
I'm sure there was good reason but hard to understand why the work has been going on for the best part of 18 months.

I'm sure the businesses entangled within it all must be asking the same question too!

NOW I KNOW why I have been meeting so many top of the range motors struggling up Tyn y Coed hill with drivers who obviously were, shall I say, rather incapable of handling their bits of machinery. Welcome to Llys Helig residents

Yes. My OH has driven round this morning.

We went up via the Tram Track today. Coming back down via the Rectory Tea Garden that were, there was a Road Closed sign at the Rectory gate.  It was chaos with most cars trying to turn round in the restricted space.   I managed to get past and continue the journey down to the drive, which was fully open.  Another typical mess up by CCBC for not clearing the signs properly when it was reopened!

Perhaps at the time Yorkie didn't know if the road would be open? Only guessing!  ;D

Well, Wrex it was a pity you were not there.  It was impossible to get out of the car due to the close proximity of the other vehicles and the fence!  I may have lost a little weight, but not that much.

The Rest and be Thankful was extremely busy with many cars both on the carriageway and in the car park, so my intervention would probably have generated a laughing fit from the person running the place.

Plus the fact that, IF I had moved the sign, there would have been no point in advising the R & BT, would there?

With Llandudno getting all these plaudits on trip advisor as the best resort i can only imagine CCBC ploughing millions more into the Bay until it gets a mention, and it will continue to run our budget down.

The toll collection at the bottom of the zig zag road has not been there for a few years now!    You really must get out more, Wrex!
