Just been round Marine Drive this afternoon, there is still graffiti on the road! What happened to the big clean up?  &shake&

The Rhos on Sea Cycling Club had their AGM on the 7th Oct 2013 at the Rhos on Sea Golf Club.  I haven't seen the minutes of that meeting so it might have come up under matters arising or apologies even!
If he said that he'll clean it up then I'm sure that he will.  Only time will tell if he is as good as his word.

The time promised to do it has long since elapsed.
I have a funny feeling that the matter may be taken out of his hands.  ;)

Re the Cheshire cat-- I haven't been on there this week, but will look when I pass.
Re the Graffiti-- Hope it gets cleaned before the Rally-- not a good image for people from away to see.

I'm fairly sure that it will require a professional company to remove the graffiti. You'd need a high power pressure washer, generator to power it, cleaning fluid, signs/cones etc to warn motorists that the work was taking place. It'll be an expensive business for 'getalife'...

It's nice to see 'getalife' is good to his word and has got it cleaned........oh wait....

I wonder if he'll post a further apology explaining his lack of effort in removing his graffiti.

I wish them well and hope it goes through without too much trouble now that it's being put in the right location this time.   $good$

   Can I change the subject.

There is the Orme, the Great Orme, and the Little Orme.  But, is a very unusual name.  When attached to places and when its attached to Surnames.

So, whats this?  Is it a most remarkable coincidence or is it a printing error.

Page NINE of the Weekly News d,d. 10/10/13.   "Rare photos of trams." John and Edward Orme" worked for a firm who where engineers constructing the tramway in 1900.

So, is the Orme named after them. Or did they get the job on the strength of their name?      Mike

Both the Great Orme and Orme family derive their names from the same origin, Orme (or 'Ormr') is an old Norse word for Serpent.  Passing Vikings named the headland the Great Orme because from out at sea it resembled a large serpent rising out of the water.  Orme was also used as a surname and members of the Orme family began settling in the UK, including North Wales, over a thousand years ago.

(I must confess I didn't know all of this but Google was my friend - http://www.orme.ws/genealogy/origins.html.  I did know the bit about the Great Orme though).

I think (but I'm guessing) that it's going on the Little Orme side of the paddling pool.

Would have been better closer to the pier.
With a good shop attached would have been capable of making a considerable contribution to funds.
There are plenty of old hotels, past thier best, and beyond hope, in that area that could have made way for the Lifeboat station.
