I actually WAS planning to go...to KFC ...tonight!
I thought half time in the Man Utd v Man City game would be an ideal time to pick up a De-luxe Bone-less Box!

Sounds like its Pizza... again

I read today that Madoc Street is about to be closed to traffic to allow a Celtic Fair to operate I think for five days. I've never heard of this before, it seems like a good idea. Is it an annual event which Ive never heard of? Mike

It usually takes place at the Mostyn Champneys retail park but it's moved to Madoc Street this year. Was supposed to be there last year but they couldn't get the permissions sorted out.

I really hope the weather is better for this year's Celtic Fayre than it was last year...

I struggled through the gales and terrible rain to go from tent to tent,  and stall to stall last year,  and it was ''reasonably'' busy ... but I reckon that if we get the bad weather out of the way this week,   it could well be packed every day that it is staged next week.

I'll be there .... so should YOU!

We will be there as usual, in our little hut, doing our stint, selling Christmas cards and goods for charity.

Come and buy ! ;D

I noticed that large swathes of the plastic sheeting covering the scaffolding on Wetherspoons are in shreds after the gales last night. Also the side sign on the empty Diskos shop had been ripped off.

Indeed, we went from the Fat Cat to the Asia last night .. and as you walked round the corner into Gloddaeth St it was like a wind-tunnel.

The Paladium lookd like a massive sailing ship getting its sails ripped apart on a stormy sea.   Like the imagery?

Seriously though, it was getting battered.

Looks like a large portion of the protective canvas is stuck in a tree in Rectory Lane !

I've just had a note pushed through my door re a lost 2 year old black (with white markings on it's chest) Labrador Collie cross called "Alfie" that went missing at 7pm last night (friday 12th November). I assume that because it's come through my door then the dog must  live somewhere on Great Orme. I thought it might be worth widening the distribution of the appeal for info by putting it on the forum. The phone number to ring if anybody finds or has seen the dog is 871516

A cold but sunny morning for the Remembrance Sunday ceremony. Did the Mayor and assorted sidekicks really need a Chauffeur driven Limousine to travel the couple of hundred feet from the Cenotaph to the Town Hall?

A cold but sunny morning for the Remembrance Sunday ceremony, says DaveR

Looks like quite a good crowd at the Cenotaph and earlier Holy Trinity Church was full with an additional 20/30 standing.
