Nice to see the town so busy today. Amazing what a bit of sunshine can do!

I see the Cable Car is now £8 for a Return Ticket. Seems quite high but I suppose maintenance costs must be high also.

Not to mention insurance and downtime.

Lifeboat has just been called out.

EDIT: it's apparently on an exercise with a new Lifeboat.

Businessman loses appeal over uPVC windows in Llandudno
Apr 10 2013

A BUSINESSMAN has lost his appeal to keep double glazed windows in his block of flats - creating “uncertainty” for scores of other owners who fear they may have to replace their own UPVC frames.

A planning inspector has dismissed the appeal by Mr Jay Lakhani of L&P Enterprises Ltd against enforcement action by Conwy Council about windows in Balmoral Apartments in Trinity Square, Llandudno. He has until October to replace them with "white painted timber windows".

In a report out on Wednesday, the Inspector Iwan Lloyd says the “highly machined and much thicker frame of the UPVC is evident” and it is a “detracting element to the appearance of the building and the conservation area”.

However, Aberconwy AM Janet Finch-Saunders yesterday said the dismissal of the appeal will create “uncertainty” for many people with modern UPVC windows.

Llandudno is dismal and drizzly right now, and worse to come over the weekend.  (Gale force winds and rain)

Today will consist mainly of Jeremy Kyle, Homes under the Hammer and then I am looking forward to Loose Women at 12.30.
Apparently Jane McDonald's new dance and exercise DVD is being featured!

Looks like Anwyl are going to make a shed full of money off Dawnus for useing pen morfa,if im right i think it is something to do with a new outlet on the beach.Arriva buses are now in their new home with Alpine on builders st.

What's all that about Wrex as I've heard nothing about the Penmorfa site for ages?          I was wondering about the planning application and whether there is a date fixed for the expiry of the application.

I drove up the Great Orme on Monday afternoon and as I was driving up Ty Gwyn Road I saw a Policeman getting two scruffy looking people out from near the cave that is fenced off.
It was opposite that place where I had a run in with one of Llandudno's well known undesirables some time ago.

It was none other than Mr R.Wyn Davis, yet again.... plus another reprobate that I had never seen before.

Thanks Dave
The basement flat at that address is currently for sale

Any purchaser will be running the risk of having to replace the plastic doors and windows then ?

There is an unbelievable number of listed buildings shown on that map.

It is amazing how nobody thought of also including part of the Gogarth Abbey Hotel.
