It's a bad design and will never work properly.

As an expert, may I suggest that you pen a suitable letter to the Council and advise them accoringly?

I will certainly be passing comment to my own County Councillors.    ;)

Forgot to add this photo of the West Shore Cycle Track form a week or two back. It shows the hilarity of the cycle track being buried under about 4 feet of sand for a couple of hundred feet or more:

The old tennis courts.  I noticed it as I left Dew's Cafe today and no doubt it will be another block of flats by the look of the ground works so far. D)

There was a great view of the Isle of Man earlier from the Rest and be Thankful cafe, I tried taking some pics, but they were not clear enough to bother posting. I've never seen it that well before! Nice to meet a member of the forum too, Hi, Tosh and Mrs Tosh, a very pleasant chat!

Next month, there will be public exhibitions in the area of the Three Towns Forum on the proposed Rhiannon Wind Farm.

From what I have seen so far it seems to be advertised off Holyhead and Anglesey.

However, upon closer inspection of the plans Merddin Emrys will have a far better chance of having a clear view of the Isle of Man from Holyhead rather than Llandudno after Rhiannon has been built.

BTW, it is the bit within the red edging.

At the end of the excellent "How Britain worked" progamme on Channel 4 last night, which is hosted by Guy Martin who some people might know as a very accomplished motor-cycle road-circuit racer and TT star, the trailer for next week's programme announced that it would feature some of the preparations required for getting the Victorian resort of  Llandudno ready for this year's summer season.
It previewed some of the work being done on the Pier Head and also featured the Great Orme Tramway and also a feature on  the Town Band. The programme is being broadcast next Sunday Nov.4th on Channel 4 between 2000-2100 hrs.

Rhiannon windfarm.

Looks very close to the shipping lanes.
Has anyone considered how they would cope with another "Riverdance" incident with a ship drifting though a windfarm ?
Not much chance of rescue by heliopter with all those blades spinning.

Police appeal over suspicious fire at Gimbert's, Llandudno

Police and firefighters are investigating a suspicious blaze at a disused shop in Llandudno, Conwy.

Emergency services were called to Gimbert's in Mostyn Street at 05:30 GMT on Sunday and extinguished the fire.

There were no injuries, but a joint investigation is under way.

Det Insp Mark Chesters appealed for witnesses to call police on 101, adding: "This could have been far more serious had it not been for the prompt actions of the fire service."

The residents of the three flats above the shop were alerted and checked by attending fire crews and police.

North Wales Police said anyone with information can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Just been past Gimberts, what's happened is someone has smashed the glass in the front door, poured petrol or similar through, then set fire to it. Being as the shop itself is empty, I suspect it's someone having a go at the occupants of the flats above. The stupidity of it beggars belief.

Had a quick walk through Happy Valley and along the Pier earlier, only had the iPhone on me but got a few nice (albeit slightly grainy) shots:
