As things are so quiet let guess what might get us talking again, maybe the collapse of the Clarence or the station, or even the start again of the Clarence and the station.

There was a meeting of great Llandudno minds at Caffe Nero this afternoon; it was a good job that no cameras were present.  $good$

Was this the 'meeting of minds' that you referred to?

...and a death wish.

Was in Rhyl today, some of their flower displays are magnificent and all their water features work:

I had the misfortune to be invited to the Gala night of the Giddy Goat Festival at Venue Cymru on Friday night. All I can say is that I'm glad that I was given a free ticket, because I would have asked for my money back if I'd paid £16! I left at the interval, but prior to that I had had to sit through alternative comedians (and I use the word comedians loosely) who just weren't funny. The language used by all of the ones who I saw was appalling and although there were some witty and dry bits of humour in there, they were marred by the language. There was no warning that bad language was going to be used, and the performers knew that there were young (16 year olds) and very elderly audience members, but there was no toning down. There was an idiot with a suitcase who is apparently on some tv or radio show ( was it Norman from Watford) -I could hardly understand what he was saying due to the way he screamed most of it!) and again his language was foul.  It was a charity night for St David's Hospice and I was embarassed for them to be honest.

What really amazed me was that people were finding it funny and were laughing  - I really felt old as I come from the entertainment by Frank Carson, Les Dawson and Morecambe and Wise who were funny and clean. If this is the sort of humour that people now enjoy, it is not surprising that people behave and speak the way they do in the street and to each other.

I was not amused.
