Workmen from Mostyn Estates have been busy boarding up windows and doors in the Tudno Castle Hotel today.

There are traffic lights on Upper Mostyn St and a very deep hole in the road - is this planned maintenance or an old mine shaft opened up again?

All I know is that two men from the Council are looking into it!     _))*

I read on Oscar that someone is blaming the state of Llandudno beach on geology,so CCBC are not capable of clearing a few stones and seaweed because of the geology of Llandudno, only a councillor could have come up with that one.

I just saw on the local ITV news that the tramway is 110 years old, they kept that quiet!

I had a look down the hole this evening, it's a collapsed Victorian sewer.

I do hope they don't plug it up with concrete like happened to the Victorian storm drain under North Parade. The problem appears to be solved right up to the next heavy rain  :(

Indeed, ME .... the only reference I have seen to this milestone is on the back of the tramway tickets... 'Tramway 110'
