Oscar strikes again !

..and again.  8)

Despite one of the more vocal members of the Forum's threat to drive down Gloddaeth Avenue yesterday there really was no need for them to get their knickers in a twist.
There was access both sides of the road for the residents of Gloddaeth Avenue, and sure enough according to a few in the know the eevnt  brought hundreds of people into the town, many of them staying in hotels.
Most will have spent in some shops and cafes and will have helped the town far more than it will have hindered anybody.
Unless I have missed something there really was no problem with the event, what was nemesis on about?
They don't even live on Gloddaeth Avenue, perhaps they were miffed because they are so far off the tourist track they are always the the last to benefit from any influx into town.

I like events, I like them a lot!  I love the extravaganza, and anything that creates a buzz around town.
I like visitors too.  I am bound to aren't I? , for many years I WAS one.
I would be interested though, to hear from anyone who 'hand-on-heart' noticed any additional revenue of any kind from this event.  There are other hoteliers who are members of this forum,  ... so I am just interested to know what people think.

We saw two competitors sitting outside the Kings Arms yesterday afternoon, when we were passing, and there was a celebration party held last night in the St Georges Hotel which has been the HQ for the event over the past few days.

Well done for your ebay purchase. Nice that it went to someone from the area.

Theyre called 'snuggle buddies' !! my daughters going mad for a unicorn one for christmas.....how much were they ? Theyre surely not the 'real thing'....theyre £20 to buy online.
When we were on holiday they had them in the shop on the Orme....a lamb, £7. Bargain ! She has slept with it every night since !

O'h Emma, I am so sorry I have cropped the photo so much that I have got rid of the price. DaveR might remember because he saw them as well.
Just goes to show what I know. I thought they were hideous!

Well, Emma, I must admit that I didn't know what they were and I thought they looked as if they'd been squashed!  Do you put them in the microwave to warm them up?

theyve got a velcro tag underneath so they roll up to 'tuck your nightie in' !! and then look more like the animal. our little girl just uses it for an extra pillow. theyre quite cute really.....especially if youre 5 !!!!
The unicorn is very popular.....everytime i look it up to order one theyre out of stock.
I suppose theyre a modern day nightdress case really !   ;D
